Karen Gardner

Karen Gardner is the principal dentist and owner of the clinic. Qualified from The Royal London Hospital College she came to Spain in 1994, lured to Spain by the weather.

Karen worked in the UK for 6 years , and now Spain for 16 years. With 22 years experience in dentistry,and having completed numerous courses in Spain and the UK you can be sure and confident that your teeth and mouth are safe in her hands.

Karen , in addition to general dentistry ,has a special interest in orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and facial rejuvenation, for which she holds additional qualifications and has much practical experience over the years. Karen is also very good and confident in treating children as well ,having 2 young boys herself does help ,and knowing that children are special patients, and must be treated with trust and care.

Dr. Jorge Santillan Pizarro

He graduated as a dentist in 1993 at the National University of Cordoba (Argentina).

Coming from a family of dentists, Jorge worked in his early career as a teacher assistant in the departments of Surgery and Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics from the same university where he studied dentistry, he also worked for eight years in his own clinic in Argentina as a general dentist, but maintains a special interest in the branches of Surgery and Prosthodontics combining these interests when making a Post-graduate training in Implantology and Oral Rehabilitation with Drs. Maddalena de Buenos Aires, during the years 1999 and 2000.

In 2002 he moved to Spain where, after Standardising his degree at the University of Granada, began to dedicate himself as a specialist in Dental Implants and Oral Rehabilitation in numerous private consultations in the province of Alicante.

Since 2005 he serves as Associate Surgeon implantologist at Dental Clinic Plaza having practiced a wide variety of surgical procedures of various kinds, and made numerous prosthetic restorations on dental implants as well as various types of surgical techniques to achieve the increase and / or regeneration of bone volume and soft tissue loss.

He regularly attends different national and international conferences and courses, Santillán Dr. Pizarro is a member of scientific associations such as GAES (Group Alicantino Dental Studies) and SEPES (Spanish Society of Prosthodontics and Esthetics).

In recent years accompanying this training has also gained extensive experience in the Cosmetic Dental area incorporating the routine use of new metal-free dental ceramics such as zirconia, alumina and glass-ceramic, among other materials, working with technologies CAD-CAM (Design and computer aided manufacturing) have revolutionized the aesthetic treatments and prosthetic-implant in the last decade, both as cosmetics and precision in the medium to long term in the manufacture of veneers, posts, crowns and bridges of ceramics.

Linda Stanford

Dental hygenist.

Linda Qualified in Cardiff in 1974 and has 32 years experience in NHS and Private practice, Bath and Bristol areas Linda semi-retired to Spain and joined our clinic in 2003, where she Works 2 days a week. She is very kind, gentle and understanding especially to nervous patients but if you don´t clean well enough then she will make sure that you do!

Linda has 2 grown up children and is a grandma, She is our best friend in the clinic, and also to all her patients.

Lynda Gibson

Aesthetician and SRN- Nurse.

Lynda was originally an SRN nurse but laterly she has specialized in facial rejuvenation for 20 years and has extensive practical experience of all commonly used injectable fillers , and skin surface treatments.

Lynda had a chain of aesthetic clinics in the UK and was a trainer of Botox for the well-known Whitfield Cosmetic Clinic in the UK. She has worked with us for several years ,and her experience and support has beena great asset for our clinic, especially as she is so kind and understanding.

Lynda has also worked closely, for several years with a leading Cosmetic Surgeon, Dr Nemseff, in Benidorm and Alicante, helping to consult and arrange cosmetic surgery for patients. View the website at: www.medaesthetics.es

Yvonne Rollinson

Beauty therapist

Yvonne visits us twice a month to carry out skin treatments mainly with Chromolight intense pulsed light treatment ,IPL, which is great for skin rejuvenation ( face, neck, hands ) and permanent hair removal.

Yvonne has several years experience and also works in various clinics near Torrevieja.

Other treatments include: Microdermabrasion , glycolic skin peels , electrolysis, red vein treatment, caci facials–often combining treatments for enhanced results

June Hutchinson

Semi- permanent make-up artist.

June has worked in our clinic for a few years now and also spends some in the UK where she works in several of her old clinics-since demand is high for permanent make-up.

She also services several cosmetic clinics in Torrevieja area. She has many years of experience and can also do tatoo removal and other forms of tatoo for people who have had breast surgery.

Yvonne Störzel

Receptionist and Practice Manageress.

Yvonne is ultra efficient and German, speaking perfect English and Spanish as well. In Spain since ´94 she has worked in several restaurants and medical / dental clinics before joining our clinic in 2008.

Here she works as Receptionist and Practice Manageress. With Yvonne´s linguistic expertise we can deal with most people and she is very kind and helpful to everybody. She make her job look easy but we are sure that its not.

At home, Yvonne helps to manage her small-holding with many exotic pets and regularly brings her excess organic fruit and veg to work

Julie Pancholi

Dental Nurse.

Julie is from Leicester in the UK and is a long standing member of the clinic joining us 2004 as a dental nurse / receptionist. -

With 12 years full-time experience as dental nurse and receptionist, Julie is a great asset to the clinic and well known by all our patients. She mainly works with Dr Jorge Santillan, who is a real perfectionist in his work –much of which is related to dental implants, a very intricate science requiring patience and expertise .

Julie is known for her fabulous Indian curries since she married into an Indian family and has 2 lovely sons just out of school.

Alexandra Espinosa Azcarate

Dental Nurse.

Alexandra comes from Colombia and worked there as a dental nurse for the NHS and in private ortodontic clinics.

Alex works with Karen Gardner and they make a great team, especially as Alex is so efficient and knowledgeable in all aspects of dentistry. She also has excellent lab skills, making beautiful models of teeth and superb whitening trays for our popular home whitening treatments.

She lives in Spain since 2003 and has worked at the Clinica dental la plaza since 2006 as a dental nurse. She has 17 years experience as a dental nurse.

Jennie Morrison

Receptionist.

Jennie is a really wonderful girl and mother to 4 children including baby triplets. We don´t know how she manages to come to work even part-time – well she is extremely organised, and has proved that 4 is easier than 1.

Jennie has worked at the practice for 10 years. providing excellent dental nursing for all the dentists over the years and
now she is a receptionist part time.
