Jo Lander

After a full time career as a consultant, anaestetist, in intensive care and pain management in uk, Europe, Africa and the middle east, including the RAF, Jo came to Spain. Buying an old finca in 1988 and coming to work in 1995.In this time she covered the practice of Bernard Willis during his year long illness.

She currently works in both Javea and Calpe in general family medicine with special palliature care in practice she is hands on one to one doctor. Working with ASSA, Perpetual socorro and Aresa

Outside of work she is well known for her poetry renderings at Burns nights under penchant for being found by stray animals in her mountainside home.

The Podiatrist Philip Mann

BSc. (Hons) podiatric medicine.

Qualified at the University of Westminster in 1994 Philip brings a wealth of experience to the practice. On leaving University Philip worked as a locum covering clinics all over London before securing a position based at Willesden Community Hospital.

Although hospital based the position involved working in various community clinics over northwest London and being part of the Diabetic team based at Central Middlesex Hospital doing diabetic assessment and wound care.

In 1999 Philip became biomechanics and team lead for the Willesden area. In 2001 Philip took a position in a private practice in Bermuda in charge of biomechanics and sports injuries although still practicing all areas of Podiatry.

2007 he came to Spian and registered to practice in Spain. Colegiado No. 2524 and now works from here and 4 other clinicsin the north Costa Blanca area. Practicing all areas of podiatry from corns to minor surgery and boimechanics.

Dr. Ruud Valks

Dermatologist

Dr. Ruud Valks is dermatologist of Dutch origin with 12 years of international experience. He carried out its formation as the specialist by way MIR and has worked in the Hospital Univeristario of the Princess in Madrid and in the University hospital AMC of Amsterdam.

Doctor in Medicine Cum Laude in 1999 by the Autonomous University of Madrid and extraordinary Prize of doctorate in 2000. He has multiple publications in international scientific journals of prestige.

He attends and treats the dermatology in its totality, that is to say all the illnesses of skin, hair and nails. He specialized in Cutaneous Oncological Surgery and skin cancer prevention with dermatoscopia. Dr. Valks is Member of the Spanish Academy of Dermatology and Venereología since 1995.
